Does price sensitivity go away over time?

One final nuance sparked by reader p’s question.

Many CPAs hesitate to raise prices on price-sensitive clients because they’re hoping something reasonable will happen:
Over time, as I do great work, they’ll see the value and become less sensitive to price.”

I don’t usually see that happen. The longer a price-sensitive client stays at a low price, the more anchored they become to that number.

Clients who are price-sensitive now rarely become less price-sensitive later.
