A small trick for when a huge list feels impossible
If your to-do list feels overwhelming right now, here’s a tiny thing I do that helps me regain traction – without pretending I can do everything.
I take the big list and sort items into four buckets:
High impact / simple to implement
High impact / hard to implement
Low impact / simple to implement
Low impact / hard to implement
Then I ignore most of it.
I focus only on the items that are high impact and simple to implement.
Not because they’re the most important in some grand sense –
but because they move things forward without too much energy.
You just. can’t. get. everything. done.
There is no version of December where that’s true.
Progress comes from choosing the right small wins, not heroic effort.
If this helps, great.
If not, feel free to ignore it entirely.
Sometimes, even naming the overwhelm is enough.
